华南农业大学原校长,现任广东省人大常委,广东省农村农业委员会副主任,兼任中国林业教育学会副理事长、中国林学会灌木分会主任、林木遗传分会和珍贵树种分会副主任等职。享受国务院政府特殊津贴,是国家“百千万人才工程”第一、二层次人选。
