Guangdong Engineering Research Center for Grassland Science was founded and acquired the certification from the Department of Science and Technology in January 2015. The center consists of research groups from the College of Life Sciences, the College of Forestry and Landscape Architecture (formerly the College of Agriculture), and the Department of Horticulture,. Considering the characteristics of the grass science discipline and the research focus of core members of the center, three research directions were set up, including grass breeding, selection and application, forage cultivation and processing, grassland establishment and ecological restoration.
