About the speaker:

Chen Xiaoyong received his Ph.D. in ecology in 1995. Now he is a professor and Dean of the school of ecology and environmental science of East China Normal University. He is also the director of China ecological society and vice director of Shanghai plant society. He is mainly engaged in the research of molecular ecology and conservation biology, and has presided over more than 10 key and general projects, key R & D projects, 863 projects and basic work projects of NSFC. Some progress has been made in plant insect relationship (such as the symbiosis of Ficus pollinator wasps), habitat fragmentation ecology and evolutionary effect, rare and endangered plant protection, etc., such as science, nature communications, ecology, molecular ecology, ecology letters, ecological genetics, trends in Ecology & evolution, conservation, etc More than 70 papers were published in the original Journals Collected by SCI, such as biology. He has won the young teachers award of Huo Yingdong education foundation, the second prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of education, the second prize of science and technology progress award of Shanghai, etc., and has been selected into the talent plan of the Ministry of education for outstanding talents in the new century, Shanghai dawn scholars, etc.; at present, he is the editorial board member of journals such as journal of plant ecology, plant ecology, biodiversity, etc.
